Understanding:
Understanding
means the sympathetic and amicable agreement of minds after comprehensive study
and analysis of human feelings, behavior, actions and reactions in the society.
The act of comprehending got broad sense. Although, bodily function of this
complicated creature is same, yet the psychological, social, environmental and
training factors which form his thinkings, behavior, attitude,
actions/reactions and approach to tackle certain problem are different.
However, the common factor that binds them together and controls their emotions
is the quality leadership to whom one can develop long term meaningful
understanding for better world. The question is how to produce quality
leadership. Obviously the answer will be: Educated / Well trained population
and establishment of real democracy in a country.After taking a long and difficult
journey, full of sufferings, that consumed millions of lives as war-fuel, man
came to conclusion that “amicable arrangements with better understanding are
the solution to his problems and better world”. 
Peace and respect of human rights
are the basic requirements not only for his own prosperity, development and
happiness but also for future generations as well. If we go through history we
will find that due to imposition of cruel laws, the balance of power had been
sliding from one corner to other of the globe. Unilateral royal personal
decisions lead to disastrous ends. Almost 90% scientific developments/research
works and their application for constructive purposes took place at the end of
Second World War, when man understood importance of peace and development of
better understanding for settlement of his disputes.
With the
change of attitude, the metals that were used for war and weaponization brought
revolution in all spheres of human life and the planet earth not only shrank to
the size of global village but everything came under his fingertips.
The
Aims and Method of Training:
In order
to develop “Better understanding for better world”, the youngsters may be
trained to:-
- help overcome ignorance among youth about each other by facilitating mutual understanding and appreciation between students from diverse regional, economic, social, religious and ethnic backgrounds.
- Provide a platform for exchanging views and perspective in face to face dialogues.
- Facilitate mutual understanding and appreciation to each other’s culture and religious background.
- Learn about and to discuss the practice of religion and in a pluralistic society and benefits of co-existing in a tolerant and mutually respectful manner
- forge ties of friendship between American students and others from around the world
- help the participants learn about and realize their leadership qualities and potential
- waken the students to the possibilities of this global market and discuss good business practices
