Two types of motivation have been identified by cognitive psychologists. Intrinsic motivation is based on internal factors, as for example curiosity or the challenge to succeed., whereas Extrinsic motivation involves external incentives such as reward or even punishment.

Here I am going to talk about the punishment as extrinsic motivation for the youngsters. People get motivation by all methods and all ways but the one involving punishment is the worst of all, because it just degrades you not only in your sight but every ones', most likely.
Punishment is used a some and a lot of times in both rural and Urban school of Pakistan, despite the fact that the government has banned it. There could be several of reasons for this, some of them I found from students and the teachers are as follow:

Punishment is used a some and a lot of times in both rural and Urban school of Pakistan, despite the fact that the government has banned it. There could be several of reasons for this, some of them I found from students and the teachers are as follow:
- Teachers: "The main reason we use the hard way to do it, is because some students are used to it. They just don't understand what is coming up on them in coming future", said one of the teachers.
Opinion: What I think these teachers are those who don't know how to encourage a student or how to get some ones attention to boring stuffs. What they lack is the art to present something, although they have the knowledge. In simple that they know "What?", but they don't know "How"? - I asked students for their views on the words of teacher. They told me that, "We are going to learn this only, for real". "By using the hard way, we are getting used to hard way, and in the future we don't get thing the easy way and we careless about other stuffs the easier way", further saying. "As we don't know how to deal with things the easier way now, our manners are no longer praise-able after some one will come to know about us". I was astonished on the reply from students, how much they care for there respect not there future.
- Teachers: "We try not to use punishment, but that is some time the last thing to do when our students just don't listen to us. We don't like to punish but we are just on the tip to lose our patience. And secondly, some times small punishment is good for a student to get back on his normal routine", a teacher talking.
Student: "Actually, we dont care about education. It's our parents who are forcing us. We are just sick of education and we aim to remove this one day. Our life is done. We are complete". These were the words of the student who were fed up from life and don't care if teacher punish them or not.
Conclusion:
It is not true that teachers are always very soft or hyper. It is just how they live their life. If you want to change the system, first thing; change yourself. And the best part of some one's life is when he creates interest in his life, when he makes his life a amusing place to live, both for himself and for the others.
This is dedicated to my school friends, who are fed up of their life and not talking life seriously.
